LIFF is calling all our Afro-Canadian youths, girls, women and their friends to a networking event Celebrating Afro-Canadian Tapestry, Culture and History.
Our 2022 Cultural and Networking Event is a 2 day event dedicated to Youths (DAY 1, Sept 23, 2022) and Women and girls ( DAY 2, Sept 24, 2022)
LIFF’s mission is to
– Promote Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing
– Encouraging peer support through Friendship and Mentorship
– Progressing entrepreneurial skills
– Leadership/Career development
– Advancing Financial literacy
– Encouraging Community Engagement
– Boosting successful Canadian Integration
– Developing platforms for Cultural Share
We will be looking to showcase each aspect of this mission at our event titled – No Voice Left behind. The events aim to empower black youths and women to speak up at home, in school and at work for causes that matter to them and their values, towards our common goal of strengthening the community.
We are excited to have Councilor Funky Banjoko from Fort McMurray, Anne-Marie Pham and Evelyne Nyairo as our speakers on Day 2
Our Day 2 Event for women is a rallying CRY, mobilizing Women of Color to use all of our voices to build a thriving community, to invest in our children and our future. With a focus on cultural share, volunteer recruitment for LIFF is also one of the goals of the events
It will be a fun and exciting night.
